If the gold layer naturally wears over time and the sterling silver underneath becomes exposed, the silver may develop light oxidation. This is completely normal and can usually be easily removed using the complimentary silver polishing cloth included with your order. If you wish to restore the original gold finish after years of wear, your jewellery can also be professionally re-plated by most local jewellers.
